Hey, thanks for clicking. My name is Amanda. I’m a 25-year-old writer, editor, and digital content creator, currently based in Los Angeles. I live with my boyfriend and my rescue cats, Claire and David (named after my favorite characters from my favorite early 2000s HBO drama. If you can guess the show right, it’s a sign we’ll be friends).
I graduated from NYU with a degree in Linguistics, which I’m using to write my debut book, WORDY: A Feminist Guide to Taking Back the English Language, which will be published by Putnam in 2019. Otherwise, I work as a staff features editor at an online beauty and health magazine and write freelance essays and reported pieces for the internet. I’m also the creator and host of the “The Dirty Word,” a feminist web series about gender, language, and pop culture, which airs on Wifey.tv, the video content site founded by Golden Globe-winning creator of Transparent Jill Soloway and founder of gurl.com Rebecca Odes.
And I love to be involved with cool projects. Hit me up to collaborate.
